popcorn is a pretty chat client for desktop computers bursting with features and embracing bold looks. It is easy to use, and offers a smooth experience on the surface. However, it is robust and allows access to its parts down to even the source code level. This means it is easy to get started, but what you do with it ultimately is up to you!
Driven by LÖVE and the power of LuaJIT, the popcorn client will run on almost any desktop anywhere. While outside the scope of phone use, it may also eventually appear on tablets under iOS and Android.
The server for popcorn is a php driven plugin for the ubiquitous WordPress, so you can host your own anywhere. To get your feet wet you can even setup a minimal server for free here at popcorn.wishray.com, and eventually move to your own hosting for more features and unlocks.
